Channels Settings
The Channels Settings page is your ideal choice for creating a well-organized and structured entertainment environment. By assigning specific text channels for the bot to operate in, you ensure that games and interactions stay in their designated spaces.
As mentioned in the General Settings, configuring a channel here will cause the bot to ignore your general settings for this specific channel. The bot will strictly follow the roles and language you define on this page!
How to Access
- Login to Clover Dashboard.
- Select your server from the server list.
- Select the Channels tab from the tabs list to open the page.
Managing Game Channels
To keep your server organized, you usually don't want people playing games in your general chat. You can restrict Clover to specific channels:
- Add a Channel: Click the + Add a Channel button at the top right to authorize a new text channel for Clover.
- Select a Channel: Click on the channel card you want to configure (e.g.,
#games) to customize its specific settings and rules. - Delete The Channel: If you no longer want games played in a specific channel, click the red Delete The Channel button at the bottom right to remove its configuration entirely.
If no channels are configured for Clover, the bot will automatically operate in all text channels by default.
Channel Configuration
Once a channel is selected, you can customize its permissions and language to fit its specific audience.
- Sync to General Settings: If you want this channel to use the exact same roles and language as your global server settings, simply click the Sync to General Settings button to instantly copy them over.
- Role Overrides: Just like the global settings, you can assign channel-specific roles for:
- All Commands Roles
- Event Commands Roles
- Stop Events Roles
- Vote Command Roles
For roles details click here.
- Default Language: You can set a unique language for the channel (for example, setting one channel strictly to English).
Enabled Commands
This section gives you granular control over exactly which games and commands can be used in the selected channel.
- Games & General Categories: Commands are divided into two main categories: Games Commands (like Roulette, Mafia, and Chairs) and General Commands (like Help, Top, and Settings).
- Search Bar: Easily find the exact command you are looking for using the dedicated search input.
- Toggle Individual Commands: Click on any command block to enable or disable it. A purple checkmark icon on the block indicates the command is currently active in this channel.
- Bulk Toggle: You can disable all commands in a category at once using the red eye-slash icon located on the right side of the category's header.
Using the Enabled Commands feature, you can create highly specialized areas in your Discord server. For example, you can create a #minigames-only channel where all other game commands are disabled except for mini-games, keeping your server incredibly organized!
